This animated film breaks the mold by telling its story without words, using powerful visuals to depict the main character's struggles amid conflict. It offers viewers a unique and immersive experience, doubling as a documentary to share stories of those affected by the 2001-armed conflict in North Macedonia.

'17 o’clock' is more than a film; it sparks conversations, fostering better understanding among people. The team hopes it will prompt discussions about both the artistry and the shared history, making a global impact by humanizing those affected by the conflict.

The team looks forward to engaging with audiences and discussing their film at different events and festivals.

This animated film draws inspiration from true events during the armed conflict of 2001 in North Macedonia, documented in the oral narrative book "Revisiting 2001" by Forum Civil Peace Service (forumZFD) North Macedonia, in collaboration with the Center for Research of Nationalism and Culture (CINIK) and the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology (IEA) at the University of Saints Cyril and Methodius in Skopje.

Financial support for this animated film came from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and DokuFest, through a project endorsed by the Swedish Embassy in Kosovo.
