Throughout March and April, the academy conducted several training modules addressing key aspects of conflict-sensitive journalism and the complexities of dealing with the past. These modules included:
Module 1: Introduction to Peace Journalism
Module 2: Addressing Fake News in Dealing with the Past (DwP)
Module 3: Techniques for Reporting on Dealing with the Past (DwP)
Module 4: Exploring the Role of Media in Reconciliation
Following the completion of these modules, a regional study trip was arranged in North Macedonia.
Participants from the Academy had the opportunity to visit the facilities of the Association of Macedonian Journalists, the Council for Media Ethics in Macedonia (KEMM), and Pikasa Analytics. During these visits, they engaged in insightful discussions to gain knowledge about the media landscape in North Macedonia, emerging trends in online media, and their impact on reporting, particularly in the context of Dealing with the Past (DWP) and Conflict-Sensitive Reporting (CSR).
