Wir freuen uns zum 150. Geburtstag von Gandhi mit Ramesh Sharma einen Gesprächspartner zu begrüßen, der heute im Geiste Gandhi's eine der größten gewaltfreien Protestbewegungen Indiens und weltweit organisiert.

Der  Trailer zum Film 'Millions can Walk' gibt einen Eindruck von der Kraft dieser gewaltfreien Bewegung, die im nächsten Jahr einen globalen Marsch für Gerechtigkeit und Frieden - den Jai Jagat - von Neu Delhi nach Genf organisiert.

Über Ramesh Sharma
Ramesh Sharma works as the National Coordinator of Ekta Parishad. Ekta Parishad is a mass based peoples' movement for land rights with an active membership of 250,000 landless poor and is regardedas one of the biggest people’s movement in India with an iconic status globally. In 2012, Ekta Parishadwas responsible for organizing and leading a foot march of more than 100,000 landless people for over 300 Km (from Gwalior to Delhi) to demand land rights. As the Campaigner, Ramesh is one of the leaders of such large scale mass struggles and mainly involved in campaign planning and advocacy. In the last 20 years, Ramesh has played an instrumental role in strengthening and expanding Ekta Parishad as one of the most significant peoples' struggle for land rights.

Currently, Ramesh is working as a Coordination Committee member of Jai Jagat 2020 (Global March for Justice & Peace). This global march focusing on the issues related with justice & peace. This march will bring hundreds of international organizations together for a walk from Delhi (India) to Geneva (Switzerland) covering 10000+ kilometers and crossing over the Middle East, Caucuses, Balkans and Europe. This global march is also a process for uniting society and nations for the just and peaceful world.
